Colocation
Why Colocate a server? There's plenty of reasons to colocate a server, either you're starting out with your own hardware, or you need to expand your current setup. Whatever the case, Zoidial is located at the Hurricane Electric data center in Fremont, California on multiple GigE connections, and is a great location to host servers. What is the best type of server to colocate?Any size system (preferably 1u or 2u) - with one or more network ports (we can accomodate multiple network ports if required.) Zoidial Incorporated is mainly a Unix based service provider and can help with any Linux, *BSD or Solaris issues. Given that we run a mainly unix show, we prefer unix based systems, however we can accomodate windows or other OS's if the need arises. What features come with Zoidial's colocation? You get some incredible bandwidth with both speed and quality! You will enjoy the ability to use our remote reboot system, so if your system ever has problems, there will be no need to call someone - you can simply log in remotely and reboot it! You get a system situated behind our firewall, and if you have specific needs for blocked ports, rate limiting, etc., we can set that up for you! We have rack space located at Hurricane Electric, which boasts an incredible network in both peering and speeds, as well as an impressive data center. You will have the ability to call a technician to sort out problems with your machine when needed, and can have them service the machine if you require (this service incurs an extra fee). What are some of the standard costs for Colocation? The pricing is $65 per 1u of rack space and $75 per 1 mbps of bandwidth (calculated at 95th percentile). More bandwidth and more rack space will be discounted.
